Implementation documentation.

Reference material for teams integrating with or building on Civiq.plus. Full API reference and schema documentation are provisioned with your environment; this page covers the shape of the system and where to start.

Full reference documentation is environment-scoped. API schemas, event contracts and the data dictionary are provisioned alongside your deployment so they match the hierarchy and modules you actually run.

Sections

What the documentation covers

Data model

Core entities and the common record envelope every object carries — tenant, geography, timestamps, actor and audit metadata.

  • GeoUnit and the hierarchy tree
  • Twin state and snapshots
  • Feedback, issue cluster and evidence
  • Programme, agenda and commitment objects

Events

Core topics, the event envelope, delivery semantics and how to subscribe without polling.

  • Topic naming and partitioning
  • At-least-once delivery
  • Stable envelope schema
  • Consumer group patterns

REST API

Canonical resource domains, pagination, filtering, idempotency and error semantics.

  • Geography, twin and feedback domains
  • Cursor pagination
  • Idempotency keys on writes
  • Explicit versioning

Identity & RBAC

The default role model, how geography scoping composes with roles, and how to express an authorization rule.

  • Thirteen default roles
  • Tenant plus role plus geography
  • Domain policy gates
  • Consent state checks

Deployment reference

The reference stack, what each layer is responsible for, and which choices are genuinely replaceable.

  • Stateless horizontally scalable services
  • Hot analytical stores separate from transactional
  • Async media and inference queues
  • Tested restore procedures

Definition of done

What a module must satisfy before it ships: contracts, tests, audit coverage, permissions and observability.

  • Documented API and event contracts
  • Permission checks on every path
  • Audit records for state changes
  • Traces and SLO instrumentation

Getting started

The order that works

Deployments that begin with dashboards tend to stall. Deployments that begin with geography and intake tend to keep moving.

  1. 01

    Model the geography

Load the hierarchy for your deployment and confirm that every level you operate at resolves cleanly.

  2. 02

    Wire one intake channel

Start with the highest-volume channel and get records landing with a resolvable geographic unit.

  3. 03

    Turn on clustering

Let duplicates group into issue clusters and check the clustering against a week of known cases.

  4. 04

    Define SLA policy

Set acknowledgement, assignment and resolution targets per category and severity.

  5. 05

    Add verification

Introduce evidence and independent verification for the categories where closure needs to mean something.

  6. 06

    Baseline before you change anything

Capture a snapshot before the first intervention so there is something to compare against later.

Reference stack

What we run, and what you can swap

The architectural commitments are event-driven integration, spatial data as a first-class concern and append-only audit. The specific technologies below are a reference, not a requirement.
